Shri Alok Sagar is a man with many accomplishments

Shri Alok Sagar is a man with many accomplishments. He holds a degree in engineering from IIT Delhi, a Masters degree and a Ph.D. from Houston and served as a professor in an IIT, Delhi. Among his many successful students is the ex-governor of RBI, Raghuram Rajan. Alok, after resigning from work has been serving the tribals in remote villages of MP's Betul and Hoshangabad region. He's been living in a remote village named Kochamu since the past 26 years. The village just has a primary school, some 750 tribal residents and doesn't have any electricity or roads. He has planted more than 50000 trees and believes that change can be brought only from the grass-root level. He says, "In India, people are facing so many problems but people are busy proving their intelligence by showing their degrees rather than serving people." I really appreciate the efforts and dedication of Professor Sagar and applaud his work.
